My wife and I do quite a bit of camping, and have found that the best ones are ones that are simple.

However, we have noticed a trend of the more simple designs being replaced by new and complex ones.

You can still find the older style toilets that work with siphon, but they have gone up in price.

More recently the newer toilets have been using a pressurized tank to flush. They are more efficient and more reliable.

Below I have gone over some pro’s and con’s of each type of Toilet. So, if you are in the market for a new toilet, read the below and you should be able to find the perfect one for you.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Which brand toilet is the best?

So, which brand toilet is the best? Well, that's a little harder to say.

Toilet brands are very specific to the type of toilet to be used. There are specific toilet brands for RV's, specific toilet brands for residents, specific brand toilets for baby changing areas, specific brand toilets for your ground, and specific brand toilets for portable toilets. That leaves very little to choose from when you look at all of those types plus some of the older original designs for 1960's living.

The only real toilet brands for home, residential use, are two brand names, Toto and Kohler. Now, that being said, you can still get some basic information from the toilet reviews written here.

We found that there are three vacuum toilets that people liked the best: the Saniflo 054, the Toto Drake, and the American Standard Champion. The proportion of people who purchased these toilets was the largest across all the toilets we've reviewed.
